Robin C. Rager, PhD, FAWHP
Dr. Rager is the founder and owner of Optimum Health Management, LLC. As a consultant and university professor, he has been involved in the field of employee health management for nearly 25 years, focusing on individual and population health assessment, and the design and evaluation of effective health promotion and disease management programs. In his projects, he has worked with a wide diversity of populations - ranging from health care systems to railroad workers to military personnel to migrant farm workers. He has been involved in the development and application of numerous survey instruments, health risk appraisals, and online assessments, and has conducted a variety of health-related research, evaluation, and marketing projects.
Dr. Rager has served as the Director of Penn State University's Center for Worksite Health Enhancement, and has been involved in leadership positions in several national health-related organizations and associations, including the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Disease Management Association of America (DMAA), and the Worksite Health Promotion Work Group for the Healthy People 2010 Objectives for the Nation. For his professional activities in the field of worksite health, Dr. Rager was honored as a Fellow of the Association for Worksite Health Promotion (FAWHP). He received MS and PhD degrees in Health Education from Penn State University.
Justin B. Moore, PhD
Dr. Moore has worked in the field of public health as a practitioner and researcher since 1996. His primary research interest is the relationship between the physical/social environment and health behaviors. Dr. Moore has conducted interventions and research related to obesity prevention among adults and youths, promotion of physical activity, the effect of policy changes on health behaviors, and the interaction between stress and physical activity as it relates to obesity. His research has been supported by grants from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the US Health Resources and Services Administration, among others.
Dr. Moore earned an MS in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi and a PhD in Health Education from the University of Texas at Austin, and completed an 18-month Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Georgia Prevention Institute. In addition, he has advanced training in structural equation modeling, mixed methods research, epidemiology, and geographic information systems (GIS).
Sloane C. Burke, PhD
Dr. Burke has over 10 years of experience in health promotion and chronic disease and injury prevention in urban and rural populations. Her research and professional activities have centered on worksite health promotion, college health promotion, and health interventions for groups at increased health risk, such as mobile workforces and migrant/immigrant populations. Dr. Burke's areas of expertise include the development of online health promotion and education modules; health needs assessment; qualitative data collection methods; and health program design, management, and evaluation.
Dr. Burke received an MS in Health Promotion from the University of North Texas and a PhD in Health Studies from Texas Woman's University. She is active in the American Public Health Association's Worksite Health Promotion Working Group and community health organizations.
Bobbi-Lynne Brown, CHE
Ms. Brown has two decades of experience in the health and fitness industry, with specialization in healthy lifestyle behavior change, and a broad background in communications, marketing, and corporate training. She is a nationally recognized health educator, consultant, and speaker for corporations, schools, and other organizations, and founder of Healthy Life Habits, an education-based health promotion resource for individuals, families, and groups. She is a Certified Health Educator, and is active in the Wellness Forum, Prevention San Diego North Leadership, the Great American Health Improvement Project, and a variety of community education organizations.
